Based in
Singapore (iFAST Financial Pte Ltd — MAS-regulated)
Who can open an account
Unusually open for a Singapore platform: non-residents can open online from abroad with standard ID — no Singapore residency and no minimum, fully digital. (Confirm the US-person position before relying on it.)
US persons
Unconfirmed — confirm with FSMOne; MAS platforms commonly decline US persons under FATCA
Markets covered

Stocks: Singapore (SGX), Hong Kong (HKEX) and the US (NYSE/Nasdaq). ETFs span more markets (Singapore, US, Hong Kong, China, UK). Plus a large bonds selection and thousands of unit trusts/funds, ready-made managed portfolios, and a multi-currency cash account. (Figures are for the FSMOne Singapore entity; the Malaysia entity has a slightly different list.)

Direct stock trading is SGX/HKEX/US; the breadth is in funds and bonds, not exotic equity markets. Not a frontier/EM access route.

Client focus
Retail fund/ETF/bond investors; remote-friendly
Recommendation
A low-cost, remote-openable Singapore platform for funds, bonds and developed-market ETFs/stocks — but not a route to frontier markets

What it is

FSMOne is the do-it-yourself investing platform of iFAST Financial, a MAS-regulated Singapore firm that has run it for about 26 years (it began life as Fundsupermart). It is in this registry for one reason that sets it apart from the Singapore bank-brokers: it is remote-openable. A non-resident can open an account online from abroad with ordinary ID — no Singapore residency, no minimum, no inactivity fee.

What it reaches

Direct stock trading is SGX, Hong Kong (HKEX) and the US (NYSE/Nasdaq). ETFs extend a bit further — Singapore, US, Hong Kong, China and the UK. But the platform’s real depth is in bonds (an unusually large retail bond menu) and funds — thousands of unit trusts plus ready-made managed portfolios — alongside a multi-currency cash account. So it is broad in instruments, narrow in exotic equity markets: there is no frontier or deep-EM access here.

Who can open an account

The standout feature: non-residents can apply online from anywhere, with standard identification, fully digital, free, and with no minimum holding. That makes it a rare remote multi-instrument route through Singapore — most SG bank-brokers want a local setup. The one open question is the US-person position: MAS platforms commonly decline US persons under FATCA, and FSMOne’s stance isn’t confirmed here, so verify it directly if it applies to you.

Use it / skip it

Use it if you want a cheap, remote-openable home for funds, bonds and developed-market ETFs/stocks, with multi-currency cash management. Skip it if you’re chasing frontier or emerging equity markets — its direct stock reach is SGX/HKEX/US, and the rest of this registry exists for everything it doesn’t cover.

Verdict

A strong, low-cost platform whose distinguishing trait is openness — you can open it from abroad without local residency, which few Singapore platforms allow. Treat it as a funds-and-bonds workhorse with developed-market stock/ETF dealing on top, not as a passport to hard markets. Researched, not tested.
