Disclosures
1 broker page currently carries an affiliate link (Interactive Brokers (IBKR)), marked plainly next to the button it applies to. Everything else on the site is unpaid: no sponsorships, no paid placements, and no broker has paid for its rating or position.
The affiliate policy
Where an affiliate link exists, four rules hold — and this page is generated from the site's own data at build time, so the count above can't silently drift from reality:
- Recommendations come first. A broker only ever gets an affiliate link if it was recommended before any commercial relationship existed — the site's public git history shows which came first.
- Marked at the button. The disclosure sits directly under the link it applies to, on the page in question — not buried here.
- Money never touches the assessment. Verification status, editorial stance, rankings and warnings reflect evidence only. The badge is never for sale.
- No affiliate links on warned brokers. A broker under a caution or warning cannot carry one — the template enforces it.
Data sources
Entries draw on broker websites, regulatory registries, direct correspondence, reader reports, and my own account experience. Machine-readable exports are published at /data/brokers.json, /data/countries.json, and /data/warnings.json, with crawl/citation guidance in /llms.txt.
Privacy
The directory aims for a light privacy footprint: privacy-respecting analytics and an email signup handled by a third-party provider (disclosed at the point of signup). Messages sent through the About-page contact form are processed by a third-party form provider (FormSubmit) and forwarded to my email — don't include anything you wouldn't put in a normal email. No selling of personal data.
