Markets covered

Developed markets only (per the in-app stock-exchange list, June 2026). Americas: US (Nasdaq, NYSE, OTC Markets), Canada (Toronto). UK: London Stock Exchange + LSE AIM. Europe: Germany (Deutsche Börse Xetra, Gettex), France (Euronext Paris), Spain (Bolsa de Madrid), Switzerland (SIX), Netherlands (Euronext Amsterdam), Austria (Wiener Börse), Belgium (Euronext Brussels), Portugal (Euronext Lisbon). No emerging- or frontier-market local exchanges.

11 country markets, all developed, from Trading 212's in-app exchange list (screenshots, June 2026). It's a proxy/developed-market broker, not a local EM/FM exchange-access route — but its LSE AIM coverage (391 names) is unusually deep: deep enough to include an AIM stock IBKR couldn't execute.

Recommendation
Cheap developed-market app broker for listed proxies (notably strong LSE AIM coverage), not direct frontier access

Status: Verified - 8 June 2026. I have a Trading 212 account. Market/product details below are researched from Trading 212’s public help and instrument pages; exact instrument availability should still be checked in the live app.

What it is

Trading 212 is a UK/EU app broker for mainstream listed stocks, ETFs and related exchange-traded products. It belongs in this directory because many readers will already have it as a cheap everyday broker, not because it reaches frontier markets.

For frontier-market research, Trading 212 is mostly a foreign-listed proxy broker: US-listed ADRs, London/AIM or LSE-listed companies when available, Euronext-listed names, broad ETFs and occasional special situations.

Market access

Trading 212’s in-app stock-exchange list (screenshots below, June 2026) covers 11 developed-market countries:

There are no emerging- or frontier-market local exchanges — so for the places this directory usually cares about, Trading 212 is a foreign-listed proxy broker (US ADRs, LSE/AIM and Euronext names, broad ETFs), not a direct local-market route.

The one thing that impressed me

Trading 212’s LSE AIM coverage is deep — 391 names in the app. Deep enough that I found a London AIM stock Trading 212 could trade that IBKR could not. That’s the only time I’ve ever seen another broker beat IBKR on a market IBKR itself covers — IBKR is otherwise the coverage benchmark everywhere else in this directory. If you hunt UK AIM small-caps, Trading 212 is a useful complement to IBKR.

Best use case

Use Trading 212 when you want cheap access to mainstream developed-market stocks and ETFs, especially simple long-only positions in US, UK and European-listed securities.

Skip it when you need direct local market access in Asia, Africa, MENA, Central Asia or LatAm. Use IBKR, Boom/Monex, Phillip, MyStocks, Daba, Mubasher or local brokers instead.
