Why BRAC EPL

BRAC EPL is frequently the recommended first contact for foreign individuals into the Dhaka market — it’s explicit that foreign investors need a custodian account and can point you through the setup.

The real structure

Bangladesh isn’t “open a retail app.” You need three coordinated accounts — a NITA (Non-Resident Investor’s Taka Account, for inward flows and repatriation), a BO (beneficial-owner) account, and the broker. NITA and BO are usually opened through the same custodian bank, which then links to the broker. The custodian bank choice is the important one — it controls your money flows. Commercial Bank of Ceylon Bangladesh is notably accessible here (low NITA minimum). Other brokers: City Brokerage, BMSL Investment.
