Status: Verified · Recommendation: Viable, with caveat · Last reviewed May 2026. I opened an account with Freedom Finance Uzbekistan, traded through it personally, and have since made a full withdrawal with no problems. Account-opening and platform detail below is first-hand, drawn from the FrontierViking write-up; the withdrawal was completed after that post was written.

Who they are

Freedom Finance Uzbekistan is the Uzbekistan arm of Freedom Holding Corp (Nasdaq: FRHC). It is my route into Uzbek-listed equities, and — unlike the group’s Kazakhstan offering — it has worked without incident in lived experience.

Account opening — what it actually involves

The process is more hands-on than a Western app sign-up, but well-supported:

The trading platform

All Uzbek brokers trade through a single centralised platform, fondbozori.uz. Freedom Finance does not layer a modern front-end over it (some competitors do). The interface is dated — the FrontierViking write-up likens it to “Sun Microsystems in 1993,” and notes “the guy at Freedom Finance even apologized in advance for how bad the interface was.” Functional, not pretty.

How this differs from Freedom Finance Kazakhstan — and the group structure

“Freedom Finance” is a brand shared across several separately-regulated arms of Freedom Holding Corp:

A career banker, in a public Trustpilot review, documented being unable to withdraw funds out of Kazakhstan through Freedom24 (Kazakhstan) — his withdrawal smothered by escalating, impossible-to-satisfy AML demands while the money stayed trapped in Kazakhstan. That case is documented in the Freedom24 / Kazakhstan warning.

The two should not be conflated — they are different entities in different jurisdictions, and Uzbekistan has been problem-free in my hands. The contrast is pointed: I made a full withdrawal from Freedom Finance Uzbekistan without issue — the exact operation the reader could not complete in Kazakhstan. But caution still carries across a shared-brand group: a clean record at the Uzbekistan arm is no guarantee the others behave the same way, and a documented withdrawal failure at one arm is a reason for elevated care toward the brand generally. Size positions accordingly and keep withdrawal-testing discipline.

Verdict

For an investor with a specific Uzbekistan thesis, Freedom Finance Uzbekistan is a viable, personally verified route — genuinely good support, a real (if clunky) path to Uzbek-listed equities, and onboarding that works remotely despite the postal step. The caveat is structural, not specific: it belongs to a group with a documented problem elsewhere. Recommended for Uzbekistan access with eyes open; not a reason to extend trust to the group’s Kazakhstan offering.
