Recommendation
Viable — AIFC-licensed, no IIN required

Why consider Teniz Capital

Teniz is the cleanest no-IIN route into Kazakhstan-listed equities. It’s an AIFC-licensed investment bank, which means — like Freedom Finance — it can onboard non-Kazakhs without the IIN that bank brokers such as BCC require. It also co-owns Tabys, a retail-facing app, though the Tabys site is only in Russian/Kazakh.

My take

If avoiding the IIN matters to you and you want an actual local broker (rather than the offshore Halyk/Kaspi listings), Teniz is the most straightforward AIFC option. The language barrier on the retail app is the main friction. I haven’t opened an account, so this is researched, not lived-experience.
