Access mechanics personally tested via Daba Finance and mystocks.africa; the listings below are from BRVM/company data.

Access — via the BRVM

Mali trades on the regional BRVM (CFA francs, pegged to the euro at 655.957). Foreign access is via Daba Finance (online, USD/EUR funding — personally tested) or mystocks.africa — both aggregators with layered counterparty risk (see the Daba Finance page). No local bank account or visit needed. Mali also carries elevated security/political and mining-policy risk.

Listed on the BRVM from Mali

Mali’s BRVM presence is small:

  • Bank of Africa Mali (BOA Mali) — banking

Most of Mali’s listed value is its gold, which trades abroad rather than on the BRVM.

Listed abroad — Mali-focused names

Hummingbird ResourcesHUMLSE AIMYanfolila mine (and Kouroussa in Guinea)
Panthera ResourcesPATLSE AIMGold exploration (+ Burkina/CI and India) — speculative

B2Gold’s Fekola mine in Mali is its single biggest, but B2Gold is a global multi-country miner, so it isn’t listed here as a Mali proxy (see Namibia). Mali has also tightened its mining code and had disputes with operators — factor that into the gold names above.

Verdict

On the BRVM, Mali is basically one bank (BOA Mali). The reason to care about Mali is gold — Resolute (Syama) and Hummingbird (Yanfolila) give direct Malian operating exposure on the LSE/AIM — but Mali’s security situation and assertive mining policy are real risks, so size accordingly.
