⚠ Freedom24 (Kazakhstan) — withdrawal blocked, recommend avoiding

Status: Warning · Recommendation: Avoid. The directory recommends against using Freedom Finance / Freedom24 for Kazakhstan exposure. See the full warning for the evidence.

Why this entry carries a warning

A career banker of 30+ years, in a public Trustpilot review, opened a Freedom24 (Kazakhstan) account to buy Kazakhstan-listed shares, funded it easily by credit card, and then found withdrawal effectively impossible: escalating, unconventional AML documentation demands, unanswered emails, and money left trapped inside Kazakhstan. After more than a month he wrote the funds off. His detailed account is documented on the warning page.

The group structure that makes this confusing

“Freedom Finance” is a brand shared across several separately-regulated arms of Freedom Holding Corp (Nasdaq: FRHC):

The structural trap: a non-resident contracts with a reassuring CySEC-regulated Cyprus entity, but the money and the withdrawal bottleneck are in Kazakhstan, behind a correspondent-bank process the client cannot influence.

Alternatives

For Kazakhstan exposure, see the Kazakhstan country page — the local brokers (BCC Invest, Teniz Capital, SkyBridge Invest, the Halyk entities), or International Securities in the UAE, whose Tabadul link reaches the Astana International Exchange (AIX) from one SCA-regulated account (verified — I hold one). Or simply buy Halyk and Kaspi via their London/New York listings through any normal international broker.
